So this past Monday night, we had our monthly leader meeting with volunteers and it was AWESOME! We do these monthly so that we can love on our volunteers and simply spend time with them. Check out the pictures here. We always start the night off eating together, and Barberitos brought joy to our tummies on this night. After eating, we meet and BCoop casts vision about where we are going as a ministry and exciting stuff on the horizon. At this meeting for the first time, we invited a couple of students to see what we do. When I got home later that night, I received a message from one of those students that rocked my world. God used it to remind me why I do what I do and love it. I am so thankful to be a part of this ministry and church, and I love serving with our incredible volunteers. We couldn’t do this without them. Read below the message I got and let us know what Fuse means to you…
So I was sitting in my room tonight, reflecting on what I had just witnessed at the church, and I started to think about what I thought Fuse was. I wanted to thank you for inviting me, it def blew my mind and lit my fire more for Jesus. But I really justed wanted to share with you what I think Fuse is, I know this prob doesn’t make since but i figured it might encourage you.
Okay so to me: Fuse is a place of encouragement, a place where lives are changed, and once lives are changed it is a way for believers to learn how to grow strong in their walk with God. Fuse isn’t all fun and games though, the people who work there love you enough to call you out on something they feel should be changed to strengthen your relationship with God. Fuse is molding the people of the future church. Fuse is just the beginning. The beginning of the revolution. It is shaping the “church” so that we can go to our homes, schools, and jobs and share God’s words.
Fuse will never be a place for the “perfect people.” We have all messed up and will continue to mess up, but Fuse and God will be there to help lift us up back on our feet. Fuse is a place to meet fellow believers and lift each other up, because without encouragement, without God, we will all become worn out; burnt out.
This group of encouraging believers makes up the church, makes up Fuse. And when we are all united as one, then the church can truly change hundreds, thousands of lives. If one foot is trying to move one way and the the other foot is trying to go a different way then the body will falter. It will hurt others and itself. But if both feet work together in unity it can reach the goal.
This amazes me, truly blows me away. I think tonight I finally realized I am here for a purpose. To show people how much Jesus loves them, how much he truly cares. I realized that Fuse isn’t about what as happened they are focused on what could be. How many more people they can save, change for the glory of God. I guess I just want to say thank you Mere, I am truly grateful for you.
Which reminds me of the last thing I think Fuse is. It is a place of worship. A place where at the end of the day, we can thank God for loving us…for blessing us….and never giving up on us. Where we can ask for his forgiveness and rejoice in the peace he has given us.
Whoa! I dont know where that came from, it def just opened my eyes to a whole new world!
