For Parents: Fuse Parking (0) Comments

Hey parents! Thank you for everything y’all do to support our ministry by bringing your kids to Fuse on Wednesday nights and to the building during the week. Without y’all our ministry couldn’t succeed, and we value your efforts. I wanted to give you some info on our parking strategy for Wednesday nights. This way, you and your students can have a plan on where to meet up after Fuse, so you won’t have to spend half you’re night stuck in a parking lot. Here’s a map of traffic flow and some helpful parking tips. Thanks again!

Traffic flow…
There are 2 traffic loops—81 and Concord. You can park and pick up/drop off at both. The Concord loop is usually more crowded, please use the 81 loop if possible. When picking up your student, please park in a parking spot. This protects us from forming a sluggish traffic line.

How to find your student…
The best way to find your student is to agree on a specific time to meet and which parking lot to meet in. For safety reasons we can’t allow student re-entry after the Fuse service, parent entry into the building, car traffic in front of the building.

Times…
The Fuse building opens at 3 pm on Wed. Fuse starts at 6:30 pm. Fuse is generally over around 7:45 pm. We start clearing the building at 8:15 pm.

Letter From A Missionary…

So i have a friend… We’ll call him Bob… He’s a missionary… incognito… The nation he’s subversively working in thinks he’s a school teacher… so… shhhhh…

He sent me this email yesterday… and i thought it would be an awesome encouragement to many of our students… volunteers… parents… and ANYONE ELSE WHO LOVES JESUS…

B-Coop,

just wanted to give you this word really quick. I have a friend who teaches at Hanna.. and she tells me that every week she hears students come in and talk about something awesome that is happening at Newspring, both at Fuse and at the Sunday services.. thats right High School youth, they are talking about amazing things that are happening in ch-ch, and she also said that every week more and more students come up to her and tell her that just last week they became believers in our Father…. Dont doubt that the book of Acts isn’t happening right now today in Anderson.. your Youth “work”  and the Ch that you are apart of is making a HUGE impact on that community.. your vision and your passion from Father are coming to be, right before your eyes.. I cant believe some of the things I am hearing over here… Fuse and the work you guys are doing every week are completely changing the face of high schools in Anderson! Keep it up man! Stay at it! Dont DARE back off! the impact you guys are making is rocking that place to the core.. dont back down and stay after His heart! Hope to talk to you soon when i get back in the states in June

Word from Liz Morrisey - A Greenville Campus Volunteer

Did you know that statistics show it’s more difficult to meet Jesus after the age of 18? Well, here in Greenville FUSE is taking that statistic to heart and making sure 6th through 12th graders don’t miss out on having a personal relationship with Jesus. Courtney Arnold, a junior at Mauldin High School, recently took that next step. “Every time I heard about Jesus, I heard about how it changed their lives so much,” she says. “One day I didn’t want to go down the same path that I was going down.”

Courtney grew up a Southern Baptist and would hear and feel God’s presence but was afraid to accept him. “I was never told to go and learn more,” she says. The first time she attended FUSE was Feb. 8 when her friend Kelsey Lovine invited her.  “Everyone’s friends with everyone. There are no clicks and you can act and worship how you want,” says Courtney. “I’ve learned so much. I never really read the Bible. At FUSE you hear different sides of it and it opens your eyes.”

Davey Blackburn, the student ministry leader, wants any student who comes to FUSE to have a fantastic time and talk to their friends about it. “Our mission is to make Jesus famous one life at a time,” he says. How do we do that here in Greenville? FUSE reaches out to the students in many ways. They give away gift cards and Wii game systems. They gather in small groups and show up at each other’s soccer games. They text message each other and the leaders even eat lunch with the students.

“We do whatever we can do to get the students excited,” says Davey. “We believe ministry takes place outside the church. We help our volunteers to go out and do ministry.”  Kelsey and Courtney say FUSE does a good job of relating things to real life. “NewSpring and FUSE always remind me to put God first,” says Courtney. “It will help me view things differently as I get older and as I go through tough times, I can turn to him. FUSE will make a world of difference. It will change your life if you try.”
